I am in Stockholm today visiting family friends. We talked about the refugee crisis and how many Swedes are starting to resent the large number of refugees. A lot of the resentment is due to the differences in culture, but much of it has to do with the cost of taking care of the refugees. Some people think the refugees are being taken better care of than the Swedes. There are also reports of rising crime associated with some of the refugees.
I learned from one of our friends who is a police officer in Stockholm and routinely deals with refugees at the city's train station that most of the refugees do not trust the police. Many of the refugees run from the police whose job is to make sure they have a place to go.
